The Nomenclature System

The R-List of the Standard Nomenclature System
During WWII the Ordnance Department divided the SNL up into different 'blocks.'  This is a list of R-block items.

SNL R Number Item
R-4 Ammunition, trench mortar, including fuzes, propelling charges and other components
R-7 Land Mines and Fuzes, Demolition Material, and Ammunition for Simulated Artillery and Grenade Fire
