The K-List of the Standard Nomenclature System
During WWII the Ordnance Department divided the SNL up into different 'blocks.' 

SNL K Number Item
K-1 Cleaning, preserving, and lubrication materials; recoil fluids, special oils, and miscellaneous related items
K-2 Items of Soldering, Aletallizing, Brazing, and Welding Materials: Gases and Related Item
K-3 Lubricating Equipment, Accessories, and Related Dispensers
