Class 6200 Graphotypes

Embossing machines in this Class are electrically-operated and generally used for medium sized lists.  The characters to be embossed are selected by means of a hand wheel and an indicator scale.  Embossing is done by means of a trip release lever.  Two Series are available in this class, namely 6250 and 6280.

The Series 6250 has a capacity of 56 characters consisting of capital letters of the alphabet, punctuation marks and numerals as well as a set of large numerals or letters.  Commonly used for payroll and newsdealer work and miscellaneous applications requiring miscellaneous or special characters in addition to the alphabet, numerals and punctuation marks.  Utilities sometimes utilize the added die-head capacity for spelled out name of town or city to provide rapid selection and embossing.

The Series 6280 has a capacity of 80 characters consisting of capital and small letters of the alphabet, punctuation marks and numerals.  Most commonly used for embossing plates with typewriter style and size characters, as for direct mail work.

Class 6200 Graphotypes are mounted on a stand and equipped with a copyholder, back spacer, Plate Tray and motor of standard specification.

Optional features include a plate roller, Extra carriages, dies and punches, Light Fixture, Tool drawer and Safety Guard.  For normal use, machines in this class usually require a plate roller, tool drawer, safety guard and light fixture.  For complete information and prices consult your Addressograph Sales Agency.
