Brass tags were used by the military for a very short time in the beginning of WWII, before brass became a strategic material.  These tags have not been military standard for over 60 years.  However, these tags are the same overall dimensions as the current issue military tags.

NOTE: The brass dog tag is an unfinished tag.  It is not coated with any type of sealant and over time the tag will tarnish. If you would like to keep your tag looking new and shiny, you just need a little brass polish and elbow grease.  Stamped Out does not warranty the finish on brass tags.
